Planning Your Trip / Arrival

How to optimise on your visit experience to Perth:
- rent a car. It saves time and offers flexibility of stops and time management

- plan ahead your journey / route. Check against map - use Google map and its add stop function. Save stops as Day 1, Day 2 and so on .

- homestays offer best value including cooking your own meal

- plan your shopping including for groceries and visit to natural attractions outside normal opening hours of attractions

- plan your itinerary around your inbound and outbound flight time. For example, you may choose to leave for Margaret River / Busselton straight from arrival.

If you are on the afternoon flight out of perth, you can always plan for a half day trip / itinerary as airport is only 30 mins from the city. Example:
+ visit nearby mall / outlet i.e. Belmont Forum / Westfield Carousel in Cannington
+ visit @Mc Callum park or Charles Paterson Park Burswood

Evenings
Catch a show or concert at Crown Perth or Perth Arena

Dine at the many restaurants including at Northbridge and established suburbs.

Dessert at San Churro (recommended)

Thursdays - suburb mall shopping

Fridays -
+ city mall shopping
+ Twilight Hawkers Market in the city (mid spring to summer)

Night view of city from Kings park / South Perth / Elizabeth Quay

Weekend early Morning quick stops:

Satuday
+ Manning Farmers' Market
+ Lau Pasar Market (halal food / Mccallum Park, Victoria Park chilling)

Sunday from 7.30 am (shops open at 10)
+ Canning Vale Community Markets / Market City
+ Belmont Forum flea market
+ Galleria Shopping Centre morley flea market

Due to its size, its not possible to cover the best of Perth / WA in one trip. So you need to prioritise based on your interest, budget and time.

Don't adopt a touch n go approach when visiting Margaret River and Albany region. You need at least a 3D/2N so as to really experience the best attractions and activities at these places.

If you are short on time, choose one region and on your return trip to Perth go visit the other region.
