Mandurah

LMandurah is about an hour drive to the South of Perth. It is a popular holiday spot known for its beautiful canals, waterfront homes, dolphins, upmarket holiday resorts and crabbing! 

You can visit Mandurah on its own or combine it as part of Rockingham / Penguin Island or as a stopover when going to / returning from the south west  region (Busselton / Margaret River). 

Main activities here include :

*canal cruise along Marina / waterways and dolphin sighting (if lucky you may even see dolphin from the foreshore) - Mandurah Cruises

Check the timing of the cruiser on the website. Usually first one is at 11 am and the last at 3 pm. Book ahead if you are going on weekend or local / school holidays.

*picnic / enjoy scenery di mandurah foreshore including fish n chips at Cicerello's Mandurah and San Churro Mandurah, among the many cafes / outlet there

* rent a boat and self-drive

Every March, there is the crab festival. A must do if you are visiting the area during this time.
