Try Bbq or go for a picnic when in Perth.

Bbq picnic at public park is a popular activity especially when it is warmer/sunny. 

My personal favourite bbq picnic spot is at Burswood park near Crown Towers as the public bbq burner is free and always clean and has a great ambience of the Swan river.
