TO DO / TRY - Fruit picking and local fruits
If you are fortunate, your visit may coincide with the fruit picking season.
Do find time to incorporate this in your itinerary. However, most fruit picking orchards only open on weekends.

My favourite apple (late autumn) and cherry picking (summer) orchard is operated by Valley Fresh Produce / @ina ballato in the Perth Hills.
Call the orchard you intend to visit to confirm they are open and availability of fruits as some are owner-operated.
Do check out the in-season fruits.
Typically Sunday and Farmers market and Fruit /Vege outlets would be cheaper than those in the supermarket (except those on specials).
Some fruits are even sold online like FB market place and Gumtree. Search under fruit picking or specific eg strawberry picking.
Standby bottled water, gloves, hat and sunglasses. Have fun!
There also various fruit growing regions where orchards sell their produce but not allow fruit picking.
